Tasajera Tides is a local community indicator system in Tasajera, El Salvador created to track trends and issues affecting the community and give a collective voice to its members. Comprised of 16 economic, social and ecological indicators, Tasajera Tides examines the complex system that is Tasajera Island and tells the story of its habitants.

The general theme for Mareas de Tasajera is sustainable community development. This idea is then broken down into three theme areas: Economy, Society and Environment. Indicators are classified within these theme areas based on the theme they affect most directly. Economy: Fish Catch, Diversification, Price of Gas, Food Prices and Tourism. Society: Education, Security, Land Propriety, Governance, Youth Migration and Health. Environment: Turtle Sanctuary, Waste, Water, Extreme Weather and Erosion.
