Project Description

Database of indicators pertaining to substance abuse and mental health issues in Montana, with emphasis on consumption and consequences. Maintained by contracted agreement with the Montana Addictive & Mental Disorders Division of the Department of Public Health & Human Services. The objective is to track the outcomes of preventive efforts in the state.

Data from state and national sources, including Montana Vital Statistics Analysis Unit; Prevention Needs Assessment survey; Youth Risk Behavior Survey; Behavioral Risk Factor Surveilance System; National Survey on Drug Use & Health; SAMHSA's Uniform Reporting System; National Forensic Laboratories Information System; and IMS Health. Primary focus areas factors associated with the consumption of alcohol, tobacco and other drugs, as well as mental health.
