Project Description

In addition to the health survey, the Welborn Foundation provides indicator dashboards in the areas of early learning, healthy eating and active learning, and Christ-centered living. No longer active: The Tri-State Community Wellness Indicator Project, (CWI) represents a collective snapshot of the three state and fourteen county funding region of the Welborn Baptist Foundation. This project reports on crucial quality of life issues which have a significant impact on the 500,000+ area residents in southwestern Indiana, southeastern Illinois and northwestern Kentucky. This tool is a comprehensive single data source and one of only a few indicator projects that incorporates both multi-state and multi-county data for regional measure. The CWI features national, state and county level published data including a special focus on Vanderburgh, Warrick, Dubois, Saline and Henderson Counties (representing 70% of the Welborn Baptist Foundation funding population). The CWI is the fourth edition indicator report from the Foundation and a web-based resource of 75 indicators in eight distinct quality of life domains: REGIONAL DEMOGRAPHICS, HEALTH STATUS, OBESITY, SOCIAL RISK FACTORS, ECONOMY, EDUCATION, ENVIRONMENTAL SUSTAINABILITY AND CULTURE. This project promotes awareness, education and action towards quality of life improvement. In addition, the CWI fosters organization engagement by naming "Tri-State Champions" and highlighting "Tri-State Stories". This project interacts with the community through social media on the "Tri-State Community Wellness (CWI)" Facebook page.
