Project Description

The information included on this website is intended to provide insight into quality of life issues for the region between Burbank and Dayton, from the Snake River to Milton-Freewater. Accurate, meaningful data from national and state sources presented here will be useful for public officials, business groups, the media, philanthropists, and the general public for understanding and tracking regional trends in the economy, education, households, health, and public safety, and for comparison with national and state data. We hope the data will spark community conversations that will inform and inspire local decision-making. The gauges will tell us if our region is moving toward a better quality of life for everyone. A citizen committee, facilitated by Community Council, will annually review and evaluate the trends and, where appropriate, adjust the ratings of each trend. The goal is to identify areas for action which over time will move the trends in a positive direction.
