The first meeting of CIC's Membership, Outreach and Marketing (MOM) committee at the end of February was very well attended. Many great ideas were generated on how to increase CIC's value to its members and expand the membership base. Now that the new web site has been launched, we invite all CIC members to join us for the next MOM meeting to plan how we will make those ideas reality. Some of the activities proposed for MOM committee members to work on are:
- Organizing and participating in webinars on topics of interest to CIC members
- Creating a section of the Members Corner as a venue for members to post information about various indicators related resources,
- Updating monthly 'Highlights' section of the web site to showcase new and interesting indicator projects, technology, data sources, and other items of interest,
- Participating in an interactive forum for members to connect with each other, ask questions, and get assistance from fellow practitioners.
