IWA World Water Conference and Exhibition

September 19–24, 2010 Montréal, Canada The conference highlights include: the two-day two-day Cities of the Future stream; the Forum on Urban Disaster Resiliency; Rainwater Harvesting and Management; Climate Change, and world reknown keynote speakers. CHN Webinar, "Stories Behind the Statistics: What the 2009 Poverty and Income Data mean For Your Community."

Tuesday, September 21, 2:00PM-3:00PM EST, Webinar.  The Coalition on Human Needs (CHN) will hold its second FREE webinar related to the 2009 Census data on poverty, income, and health insurance. This webinar will analyze the actual data that will be released on the 16th, by discussing reports from several states. There will also be testimonies from elected officials, policy experts, service providers, and impacted families; in order to shed light on the lived experience of those caught in the maelstrom of these downtrodden times. However, by discussing these hardships, the CHN webinars will attempt to pinpoint what still needs to be done for a hopeful and concerted economic recovery. Register here.

Future of Water Conference

Monday, September 27, 2010 in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, USA. Water is critical to our lives and livelihoods in countless ways, but the issues and problems are complex. Tapping into Solutions: The Future of Water is a national conference by Environmental Leadership Program and Robert and Patricia Switzer Foundation. The conference will highlight and advance solutions from the diverse perspectives of academia, business, government, non-profits and individuals. The key issues of water quality, quantity, and access will be the focus of the conference, with integrative discussions related to climate change and infrastructure.

AGA Performance Management Conference

Oct. 13-14, 2010, Baltimore, Maryland, USA. The Sixth Annual Performance Management Conference of the Association of Government Accountants (AGA).

Third Knowledge City World Summit

November 16-19, 2010 Melbourne, Australia. 2010 Congress of Cities & Exposition

November 30 - December 4. The Colorado Convention Center, Denver, CO.  This event serves as the National League of Cities "annual convention" and offers a broad range of learning opportunities, access to governance and policy-setting meetings, and multiple opportunities for knowledge-sharing between peers.

This conference is unique in that it partners with the Hosting City to develop educational programs which allow the city to display its most innovative programs.
