Descriptions of CI-PM Working Group Subcommittees

Education Subcommittee
The Subcommittee is responsible for developing and implementing an education program to inform and educate public officials (elected and executive staff) about the value and uses of community indicators and organizational performance measures and the importance of integrating them. The Subcommittee’s work includes developing webinars, presentations, and other training methods.  

Marketing Subcommittee
The Subcommittee is responsible for developing and managing outreach and advocacy activities for advancing community indicators-performance measures integration projects. Such activities include developing and maintaining the CI-PM brand, developing marketing materials such as brochures, working with publications and other media to publish articles on CI-PM integration, and managing the CI-PM Integration Awards program.  

Real Stories Subcommittee
The Subcommittee is responsible for managing the annual Call for Real Stories including reviewing the proposals submitted as a result of the call and editing and approving the final publication of selected Real Stories. It is also responsible for obtaining comments on and enhancing the descriptive (maturity) model of the key characteristics of integrated community indicators-performance measures efforts.

Sustainability Subcommittee
The Subcommittee is responsible for developing, implementing, and managing a sustainability plan to continue the efforts the Working Group after the funding from the Sloan Foundation ends. Broadly speaking, this involves identifying possible funding sources and writing grant proposals. Also, it is responsible for expanding the community indicators-performance measures integration community of practice through such activities as encouraging CI-PM integration panel sessions at conferences by other organizations, enhancing the CI-PM web pages, developing an online community forum, and drafting a capping paper on the CI-PM project.
